synopsis
When Russian ultranationalist terrorists hijack Air Force One mid-flight, President James Marshall refuses evacuation and instead hides aboard the plane. As the hijackers execute hostages and demand the release of a dictator, Marshall methodically fights his way through the aircraft to protect his family, his staff, and the presidency itself. Meanwhile, the Vice President and Cabinet must decide whether to negotiate — or risk everything.

This is pure ’90s high-concept action: one location, one hero, clear stakes. Harrison Ford plays the President as both commander-in-chief and action star, blending gravitas with fists. The film doesn’t pretend to be geopolitically nuanced — it’s about competence under pressure. Gary Oldman’s villain is intense without cartoonish excess. It’s tight, efficient, and satisfying in that way pre-franchise action films often were. Not groundbreaking — but extremely watchable.
