mini-review

Barbarian is one of the most unpredictable horror films in recent years, constantly shifting direction in ways that keep audiences off balance. Director Zach Cregger cleverly plays with viewer expectations, beginning as a tense thriller before evolving into something much darker and stranger. The film balances shocking twists with moments of dark humor while steadily building dread.

A late-night watch and viewers who enjoy horror movies that constantly pull the rug out from under them.

Absurdist's Corner

Upon discovering a dark underground tunnel beneath the house, the characters repeatedly decide that the best course of action is to walk deeper into it with nothing but a phone flashlight.

fun facts
