mini-review
This beloved fantasy adventure blends Greek mythology with classic stop-motion creature effects by legendary animator Ray Harryhausen. While the acting and pacing feel old-fashioned today, the imaginative monsters and mythic storytelling give the film a timeless charm. The Medusa sequence in particular remains one of the most memorable creature battles in fantasy cinema.
A nostalgic movie night, a bowl of popcorn, and appreciation for the handcrafted magic of old-school fantasy effects.
Absurdist's Corner
