mini-review

A tense and brilliantly structured crime thriller, Infernal Affairs revitalized Hong Kong cinema in the early 2000s. The film balances suspense, character drama, and moral ambiguity as its two protagonists struggle with divided loyalties. Its gripping cat-and-mouse storyline later inspired Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-winning remake, The Departed.

A late-night viewing and viewers who enjoy tight, suspenseful crime stories.

Absurdist's Corner
