synopsis
A young and inexperienced demon hunter named Xuanzang travels the countryside attempting to tame dangerous spirits through compassion rather than violence. His gentle approach repeatedly backfires as he encounters increasingly terrifying monsters. Along the way he crosses paths with the fierce demon hunter Miss Duan, whose aggressive methods—and feelings for him—complicate his spiritual journey.
