synopsis
In parallel timelines, the film follows Julia Child’s rise from diplomatic spouse to culinary icon in 1950s Paris, and Julie Powell, a frustrated New Yorker in 2002 who commits to cooking all 524 recipes in Child’s seminal cookbook within one year.
