mini-review

Longlegs leans heavily into atmosphere and dread rather than action, creating an eerie investigative horror experience. Director Osgood Perkins builds tension through quiet scenes, unsettling imagery, and the creeping sense that something unnatural lurks behind the crimes. Nicolas Cage’s unsettling performance adds to the film’s deeply disturbing tone.

A quiet room, low lighting, and viewers who enjoy slow-burning investigative horror.

Absurdist's Corner

An FBI investigation slowly reveals clues that feel less like criminal evidence and more like pieces of an elaborate supernatural puzzle left by someone who enjoys cryptic riddles far too much.
