synopsis
After a messy divorce, struggling actor Daniel Hillard loses custody of his children. Desperate to stay close to them, he disguises himself as a British nanny — Euphegenia Doubtfire — and inserts himself back into the household. What begins as a farcical impersonation slowly exposes deeper wounds about pride, failure, and the painful restructuring of a family.

This is broader than some of the others in the category, but it works because Robin Williams grounds the madness with genuine heartbreak. Beneath the wigs and prosthetics is a story about a father who doesn’t know how to grow up. The film manages to be funny without undoing the reality of divorce — it never magically restores the marriage. That restraint gives it more weight than people remember.
