mini-review

My Sassy Girl is one of the most influential romantic comedies in Korean cinema. What sets it apart is its wildly unconventional female lead—brash, emotional, funny, and often completely unreasonable. The film balances outrageous comedy with genuine romance, gradually revealing a deeper emotional story beneath the chaos. By the time the final act arrives, the movie transforms from quirky comedy into something unexpectedly heartfelt.

Soju, street food, and a movie night that starts with laughter but quietly sneaks in a surprisingly touching love story.

Absurdist's Corner

Kyun-woo spends much of the film getting slapped, bossed around, forced into humiliating situations, and generally treated like a human punching bag—and somehow concludes that this must be true love.
