synopsis
Three thirty-something friends find themselves facing adulthood with varying degrees of denial. After one of them loses his girlfriend and house, they impulsively start a fraternity near their old college campus in a desperate attempt to reclaim youth. What begins as a half-joke quickly spirals into keg stands, hazing rituals, and bureaucratic battles with a vindictive dean determined to shut them down. As the party lifestyle intensifies, each man is forced to confront the gap between nostalgia and responsibility.

At its best, Old School thrives on escalation — especially when it unleashes Frank “The Tank” in full meltdown mode. The movie is loose and sometimes shapeless, but its central idea — grown men trying to reverse time — gives the chaos a relatable undertone. It’s not sophisticated, but it understands the bittersweet panic of realizing youth doesn’t wait around. The first half crackles with inspired absurdity; the second half coasts a bit. Still, the commitment of its cast carries it through.
