synopsis

In July 1995, during the Bosnian War, Aida works as a translator for the United Nations peacekeeping forces stationed in the town of Srebrenica. When Serbian forces advance on the city, thousands of terrified civilians flood the UN base seeking protection. As negotiations unfold and the situation deteriorates, Aida desperately tries to secure safety for her own family while translating the decisions that will determine the fate of thousands.
