mini-review
This darker second entry in the series shifts from fairy-tale wonder to full-scale fantasy warfare. Director Andrew Adamson leans heavily into epic battles and political intrigue while continuing the themes of courage and faith drawn from the novels by C. S. Lewis. The film occasionally feels more like a conventional fantasy adventure than its predecessor, but its large-scale action and emotional reunion with Aslan keep the story engaging.
A rainy afternoon, a bowl of popcorn, and the mood for a classic good-versus-evil fantasy battle.
Absurdist's Corner
The Pevensie kids somehow return to Narnia and instantly become elite battlefield commanders, despite spending the previous year attending ordinary English school.
