mini-review
This is fantasy stripped of human faces. Every character is a puppet, yet the world feels startlingly real. The tone is darker and more mythic than most family fantasy, but it avoids cynicism. There’s a solemn, almost biblical quality to its storytelling. The practical craftsmanship is astonishing — creature design, set detail, tactile environments. It doesn’t wink at the audience. It expects you to take its mythology seriously. That seriousness is exactly what gives it staying power.
A quiet night when you’re in the mood for something immersive and mythic — no multitasking allowed.
Absurdist's Corner
