mini-review

This is messy, ambitious fantasy — part morality play, part carnival fever dream. Terry Gilliam leans into extravagance, building worlds that feel both theatrical and chaotic. The film gained poignancy after Heath Ledger’s death mid-production, with multiple actors stepping into the role in imaginative ways. It doesn’t always cohere, but it’s visually bold and conceptually fearless. You watch it less for narrative clarity and more for imagination unleashed.

A night when you’re willing to surrender to eccentricity and let logic take a back seat.
