mini-review

This film treats family not as a fixed structure but as a living, evolving relationship. The humor is dry, the conflicts messy, and the characters refreshingly imperfect. Rather than delivering simple moral lessons, the story explores how people struggle to maintain connection when expectations collide with reality. The result is both funny and quietly poignant, capturing the fragile resilience that holds families together.

A thoughtful evening and appreciation for family stories that avoid tidy answers.

Absurdist's Corner

Inviting a charismatic stranger into the household to “complete” the family turns out to complicate things considerably.
