mini-review
The Omen blends biblical horror with 1970s paranoia. The set pieces — especially certain infamous death scenes — are memorable and shocking for their time. While some elements feel dated, the ominous score and escalating dread carry weight. It’s not as psychologically layered as Rosemary’s Baby, but it remains a foundational entry in satanic horror.
Stormy evenings. Especially effective if you enjoy ominous orchestral scores.
